About Our Centres for Early Development
At Mothercraft, we are devoted to offering outstanding child care and early learning experiences for all families. Our five Centres for Early Development (CEDs) – located in Brookfield Place, Eaton Centre, Robertson House, Midtown, and Avondale – provide enriching full-day programs for children aged 3 months to 6 years.
With extended hours from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday, our CEDs support busy families while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
The Mothercraft EarlyON Child and Family Centre (EarlyON CFC) offers play and inquiry-based programs for children from birth to 6 years old. Additionally, it supports parents and caregivers, providing safe and welcoming environments open to all families.
Job Summary
As our newest Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or Early Childhood Assistant (ECA), you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the development of young minds in our care.
Responsibilities include creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, fostering positive and secure relationships, assisting with program planning and implementation, and supporting housekeeping responsibilities as needed.
As an RECE or ECA, you will…
- Provide care for the physical and emotional needs of children
- Develop and encourage positive and secure relationships
- Assist with program planning and implementation to promote stimulation in children’s development
- Support housekeeping responsibilities as required
You will be set up for success if you have…
- Early Childhood Education Diploma and registration with the College of Early Childhood Education (for RECE candidates)
- Ability to work with children of varying ages (3 months to 6 years old)
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
- Full vaccination with a recognized COVID-19 vaccine
- Immunizations and health assessment in compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act
- Standard First Aid & CPR C Certificate
