Barcelona Interested In Signing Wolves Midfielder This Summer

Sports Mail have reported that Jorge Mendes has been trying to secure Ruben Neves’ move to Barcelona. 

Ruben Neves is currently on injury. He has missed out in four of Waves last matches. Ruben Neves is eyed by four top flight clubs of which include Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Ruben Neves this season has scored 4 goals and has Assisted once. The Portuguese international has not also shied out of defensive duties for Wolves.

Ruben Neves contract with Wolverhampton Wonderers is set to expire this season. He was signed from Dc Porto under former Wolves coach Nujo Esprito Santo who moved with him to Wolves. Wolves signed him 16 million pounds in 2017 July. 

Wolves has put a massive 40 million price tag on Ruben Neves as Bruno Lage said ‘Ruben Neves is a great midfielder and a special player too’. Barcelona and Manchester United are very much interested in signing the 25 year old Portuguese international. Manchester United have dragged down the price to 35 million pounds but Wolves have refused to budge as they will not collect anything less than 40 million pounds. Barcelona are also in the race to sign him as they are also willing to pay 40 million to sign him as he will be used as a replacement for Dutch international Frenkie De Jong.
